July Training Sessions

It is important to maintain endurance and to build power/strength, endurance is needed for obvious reasons and power will help to avoid fatigue on the hills.

However, endurance work tends to accustom the body to a mono-pace that is lower than our potential so even on endurance sessions it is good to have intervals of higher intensity or even break it into sets with some recovery between them.

However, by the end of this month, you should really start to feel the differences in speed and improved recovery.

This month includes:

  • 6x speed sessions (distances between 100m-800m)
  • 5x endurance sessions to make sure we can still cover the distance!
  • 1x strength session to help keep injuries at bay and maintain core stability and balance
